Relax + Color: "Favorite Things" Party Prep
Prepping for my Favorite Things Party, and sharing my favorite markers for you adult coloring lovers out in that location, and a pull a fast one on for those who don't consider themselves a pro at hand lettering!
This weekend, I had some major downward-time, and I knew I wanted to spend information technology relaxing. Merely if yous're here for the get-go time… you may not know that I accept a problem with feeling like I have to do TWO things at in one case, or I feel like time is slipping through my fingers, if I'm sitting around, not accomplishing "something." With my Favorite Things Political party coming upward, I was feeling the need to set up!
Adult Coloring
I had been seeing the craze of adult coloring all over, and wanted to bring together in on the fun. People were maxim how relaxing, coloring tin can exist.
I had picked up my new Prismacolor Premier Illustration Markers, at Michael's a few days before {because I was going to make certain coloring would be on my to-do list in the nigh time to come}, so I was total game for coloring to "relax."
"Impale 2 Birds with One Stone:"
Don't get me wrong, I adore free printables. Simply there's simply something "special," & "archetype," about hand-drawn images. Right?
So I began coloring, and crafting up the"gift-driblet," sign for the space where my guests will be dropping their favorite things off, and filling out their names for the gift exchange for my Favorite Things political party coming up.
Of a sudden, I was "relaxing," & checking an item off of my to-practise list.
Although I'm not fully prepared for my Favorite Things party this year, I Practice know what the theme is going to be, and I'1000 preppin' as we speak!
I take a small obsession with "plaid," this season, and then practice about 99% of my guests that will be attending, then it was the perfect match.
I wanted "plaid," incorporated on my sign for SURE, and I already had created a plaid template that I used to create souvenir tags a while dorsum, so I used that as a starting point.
Gettin' All Crafty:
Embarrassing Disclaimer: I tin can't cutting a directly line with scissors, to salvage my life. Unfortunately, that downfall rolls over in to my drawing as well. So I crook when I tin can.
I use my Silhouette Machine for nigh every drawing/writing DIY project that I create. It cuts out the font or prototype that I need, and then wall-lah, I have a stencil to use. 😉
I have such a crush on this little bunting banner, so I colored a corner of my sign with the crimson Prismacolor Premier Illustration Mark, and it turned out perfect!
And then it was time to get to the "text." I've been using this font on EVERYTHING, and I couldn't resist using it for this project too. I colored in the text my blackness Prismacolor Marker.
Eeeeeek! Didn't that plough out and then cute!? I as well had to color a petty "gift box," & "gift tag," analogy, to fill the white space, and requite it a lilliputian more "umph." I'thousand tickled to death with how it turned out. The fine signal on the castor style marker & the "fine line," markers, made it so easy to get in to those tiny lilliputian spaces of my stencil, to create the item of the font, that I was looking for.
I placed information technology in a white frame, and now it's all gear up to go for my political party!
Have you been itching to get on the "adult coloring movement?"
